Prof. Dr. Aynur Aytekin Özdemir, faculty member of the Department of Pediatric Nursing at Istanbul Medeniyet University, participated in the 4th Neonatal Nursing Days Congress held on October 3, 2025, at Polat Renaissance Hotel.

During the session titled “Sustainability in Neonatal Nursing,” Prof. Dr. Aytekin Özdemir delivered her presentation entitled “An Old Threat to a New Life: Reflections of Climate Change.” In her talk, she addressed the impacts of climate change on newborn health, emphasizing both clinical and societal dimensions supported by current scientific evidence.

By highlighting the importance of sustainability in neonatal nursing, Prof. Dr. Aytekin Özdemir drew attention to the growing need for environmental awareness in healthcare practices affecting newborns.
