The Internship Information Meeting for fourth-year students was held online on January 2, 2026, by the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Medeniyet University, and was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Özlem İbrahimoğlu, Internship Coordinator of the Department of Nursing.
The meeting was attended by internship coordinators and supervisors from the department’s academic divisions. During the meeting, comprehensive information was provided on the principles of vocational training in enterprises (internship practice), including implementation procedures, roles and responsibilities, evaluation criteria, and process management.
The procedure for assigning students to academic divisions was also explained in detail. Students will be asked to submit their top three preferences, and placements will be made based on students’ grade point averages and preference rankings. In addition, information was shared regarding the number of students to be assigned to each academic division and the clinical units where internship practice will take place.
The meeting attracted strong interest from fourth-year students. Students actively participated in the session, asked questions, and received clarification on issues related to the internship process.
As the Department of Nursing, we will continue to organize such informative and guidance-oriented activities to support our students’ professional competence and facilitate their transition into clinical practice.
