A conference event was organized by third-year Nursing Department students as part of the Community Service Practices course. The event, held under the supervision of Merve İnan Budak, aimed to raise awareness about a current issue affecting university students.
The conference, titled “Screen Addiction Among University Students,” was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Turan Karatepe. It took place on Wednesday, April 22, at 10:00 a.m. in the Cevizli Conference Hall and attracted significant interest from students.
During the conference, the psychological and social effects of screen use on young people were discussed, and the importance of conscious technology use was emphasized. Participants were provided with comprehensive information on the symptoms, risk factors, and coping strategies related to screen addiction.
At the end of the event, students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the topic. The importance of such initiatives in raising awareness was highlighted, and the event made a meaningful contribution to promoting social consciousness, with active involvement from Nursing Department students.
