Within the scope of April 1–7 National Cancer Week, a seminar titled “Beyond Treatment: Psychological Support for Cancer Patients” was held as part of the Community Service Practices course. The event was organized by our 3rd-year students.
Prof. Dr. Ayşe Okanlı and Naz Yaren Güner, a 2nd-year student from the Department of Psychology, participated in the seminar as speakers. During the event, the importance of addressing not only the physical but also the psychological needs of cancer patients was emphasized. Participants gained insights into the emotional challenges experienced during the treatment process, coping strategies, and psychosocial support approaches.
This event contributed to raising social awareness and strengthening the sense of social responsibility among our students.
