Our department's faculty member, Associate Professor Dr. Cemile SAVCI, gave a presentation titled ‘Swallowing and Nutrition Management After Stroke: Clinical Applications’ at the 1st National Rehabilitation Nursing Congress hosted by Yozgat Bozok University.
Held between 24-26 October 2025 at Yozgat Bozok University, in collaboration with the University of Health Sciences, and with the contributions of the Rehabilitation Nurses Association and the Turkish Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists, the main theme of the congress was ‘The Power to Overcome Barriers: Rehabilitation Nursing’.
The congress addressed the latest developments, innovative approaches, and scientific research in the field of rehabilitation nursing, with experts sharing their knowledge and experience. In her presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. SAVCI emphasised that nutrition is an important factor in the treatment, care, and rehabilitation process of stroke patients with dysphagia. In her speech, Associate Professor Dr. SAVCI conveyed important information to the participants, discussing evidence-based current clinical practices for swallowing and nutrition management in stroke patients dysphagia and the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach.
