Our faculty hosted an important event to contribute to the professional development of our students. As part of the HEM113 Health and Technology course conducted by our Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem İBRAHİMOĞLU, a conference on ‘Innovation in Nursing’ was held on Monday, 10 November 2025, at 14:30 in the Cevizli Campus Conference Hall.
The speaker at the event was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeliz Doğan Merih, a faculty member at SBÜ Hamidiye Nursing Faculty, President of the Innovative Nursing Association, and TÜSEB Entrepreneurship and Innovation Coordinator, who is recognised for her valuable work in the field of innovation in healthcare.
In her presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Merih emphasised what innovation is, its types, and its critical importance for the nursing profession. In her speech, she inspired our students, who will be the healthcare professionals of the future, by giving examples of successful innovative products and applications previously implemented in nursing.
Following the speech, the event continued interactively with keen interest and questions from the students. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeliz Doğan Merih answered questions on topics that interested the students.
At the end of the programme, our Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem İBRAHİMOĞLU, presented Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeliz Doğan Merih with a certificate of appreciation for her valuable contributions and insights. The event concluded after a productive session where participants gained valuable knowledge.
