As part of the Child Health Protection and Development course, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Akarsu Akkaya, we presented the lecture titled "A Lively Life Through Physical Activity and Play in Children," with the participation of Dr. Gökçe Leblebici Soysal, a faculty member in our faculty's Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
The lecture addressed the health effects of physical activity in children, age-appropriate movement requirements, and the developmental contributions of play-based activities. Dr. Gökçe Soysal, with her expertise in the field, provided our students with important practical information. The session concluded with a short children's yoga activity, which concluded with a Q&A session. It was both a productive and enjoyable learning experience for our students.
