Nursing is a health discipline consisting of science and art that plans, applies and evaluates health protection and development, and the provision of necessary treatment and care in case of illness. It is a professional group that has to stay up-to-date in academic and technological developments and to work on the basis of evidence-information, and is divided into branches by specializing.
In order to graduate from the program of Istanbul Medeniyet University Nursing Department, it is necessary to be successful in all the courses taken during 8 semesters and to complete a total of 240 ECTS credits. Nursing education includes at least 4 years or 4600 hours of theoretical and clinical education according to the "Regulation on Determining the Minimum Education Conditions of Medical, Nursing, Midwifery, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy and Architecture Education Programs". The total education time of the nursing program is 4648 hours, theoretical education time is 1554 hours and clinical education time is 2394 hours.
Our graduates; They are employed in public and private hospitals, family health centers, community health centers, workplaces, schools, nursing homes, nursing homes, medical companies, insurance companies.
Our graduates can apply to master's and doctoral programs in the field of nursing and health and can take part in academic fields.
Our Nursing Department, which has been accepting students since the 2016-2017 academic year, gave its first graduates in 2020.
