Our Nursing Department has eight main divisions. These are as follows;

Division of Nursing Fundamentals

Division of Nursing Fundamentals, which comprehends its role in the health care system, in line with nursing philosophy and basic nursing care principles; Protecting and improving the health of the individual, family and society, able to use the necessary knowledge and skills in solving and rehabilitating health problems, adopting ethical principles and professional nursing values ​​while performing contemporary nursing roles and functions, caring for healthy/sick individuals, families and society, and doing scientific research. and to train nurses who can use and have scientific problem-solving and correct decision-making skills. It is a basic science for nursing education. It forms the basis for all nursing professional courses.

Nursing Philosophy Basic Principles and Concepts, Basic Principles and Practices in Nursing, and Ethics in Nursing courses are offered in the undergraduate nursing program of our faculty within the Division of Nursing Fundamentals.

Division of Internal Diseases Nursing

The purpose of the Internal Diseases Nursing program; To train nurses who are competent and follow scientific developments, who provide care for individuals with chronic diseases and their families in line with the nursing process, and develop disease management behaviors, as well as protecting and improving the health of individuals, families and society by using their theoretical knowledge and professional skills effectively. Internal Medicine Nursing fields of study; The units where the diagnosis, treatment and care of internal diseases are carried out (Cardiology, Oncology-Hematology, Neurology, Chest Diseases, Dialysis, Dialysis, Nephrology, Palliative Care, Geriatrics etc.), Intensive Care, First Aid and Emergency Care units. Internal Diseases Nursing, Rehabilitation Nursing, Diabetes Nursing, Care Nursing in Chronic Diseases, Oncology Nursing and Health Assessment courses are carried out by the Division of Internal Diseases Nursing.

Division of Surgical Diseases Nursing

The Division of Surgical Diseases Nursing is a nursing specialty in which the physical, psychological and social needs of the patient who is planned to undergo surgical intervention are determined to regain and maintain their health and well-being, and nursing activities based on scientific knowledge are coordinated and personalized care is applied. It provides the student with knowledge and basic nursing skills for the perioperative care of the patient who will undergo surgical intervention. Study areas of the Division of Surgical Diseases Nursing; Surgical Diseases, Operating Room, Intensive Care, First Aid and Emergency Care.

Division of Maternity and Obstetrics Nursing

Within the scope of the basic concepts, theories and roles of women's health and diseases nursing, taking into account the impact of women on child, family and community health for the protection, development and rehabilitation of women's health in all life stages, it is aimed to provide services with a holistic approach by determining individual care needs in cases of deterioration of health. aiming to teach knowledge and practices, to gain skills, to graduate nurses working in line with ethical principles and legal regulations.

Our graduates are employed in many fields, including public and private hospitals, family health centers, and community health centers. At the same time, they can specialize in the field of women's health and diseases nursing by applying to graduate programs and continue their careers in academic fields.

Division of Child Health and Diseases Nursing

The aim of the undergraduate program of the Division of Child Health and Diseases Nursing; It has integrated basic nursing knowledge and principles with the basic concepts, theories, roles and functions of Child Health and Diseases Nursing, and aims to meet the needs of children's growth and development, deviations from health status, management of childhood diseases, protection, development and care needs of children and their families with a holistic approach. To train nurses who have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills, sensitive to child/patient rights and ethical principles. Within the body of the main science; Child Health and Diseases Nursing, Internship Practice, Growth and Development, Infectious Diseases Nursing, Pediatric Emergency Nursing, Child Health Protection and Development, Pediatric Oncology Nursing, Child Health and First Aid courses are offered.

Among the main research areas of the Division of Child Health and Diseases Nursing are the growth and development of healthy / sick children, the care of the newborn, the care of children in emergencies, the care of children and families with acute / chronic diseases.

Division of Nursing Administration

The aim of the Division of Nursing Administration is to train nurses who know the basic concepts, theories and principles of the management of nursing services and the legal regulations concerning nursing, and to train nurses who have sufficient knowledge, skills and attitudes to lead nurses in the health team. The Division of Nursing Administration includes basic concepts, theories and principles related to management and nursing services management.

Nursing Administration, Leadership in Nursing, Conflict Management, Health Policies, Human Resources Management courses are offered in the Division of Nursing Administration.

Division of Psychiatric Nursing

Psychiatric nurse; is a mental health professional serving with the purposeful use of the self as an art, psychosocial and neurobiological theories, research findings, and the various roles of nursing as a science. In this context, by adopting a student-centered education approach in which the active participation of our department and students is ensured; It is aimed that the student gains the ability to plan and implement initiatives to protect and strengthen the mental health of the individual, family and society, to provide nursing care to individuals and families with mental health problems, to maintain all stages of the nursing process independently, to develop and use effective communication skills. In addition, it is aimed that students become competent health professionals in both academic and clinical fields by specializing in postgraduate, master and doctoral programs after their undergraduate education.

Division of Public Health Nursing

Public Health Nursing; It is considered a specialized field within nursing. The purpose of Public Health Nursing; To protect and improve the health of the individual, family and society throughout life, to prevent diseases and disabilities, to make the physical and social environment positive, to treat the sick and to continue the rehabilitation of the disabled. Unlike other nursing fields, public health nurses generally work in the community, outside of hospitals where treatment services are provided.

Within the application areas of Public Health Nurses; There are Family Health Centers, Community Health Centers, Home Care Institutions, Occupational Health, School Health, Mother Child Health and Family Planning, Nursing Homes, Social Service Institutions and Prisons and Detention Houses.
